
Ingredients:
2 cups whole wheat flour
4 teaspoons baking powder
1 tablespoon sugar
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1 cup 1% milk
3/4 cup 2% cheddar cheese, shredded
1/2 cup chopped green onions
Directions:
In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt; mix well. Cut in butter until mixture is crumbly. Stir in milk just until moistened. Add cheese and onions. Put dough on lightly floured surface; knead gently 8 to 10 times. Drop by 1/4 cupful onto cookie sheet. Bake at 450 degrees F for 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned. Serve warm.
